The annual landmark event aims to spotlight cutting-edge technologies, foster collaboration and drive forward the digital economy in Wales. Wales Tech Week is organised by Technology Connected and this year supported by Vodafone Business.

As the leading voice for the digital technology industry in Wales, Technology Connected aims to accelerate the adoption of digital solutions that drive performance, profitability and sustainable growth. It does this through advocacy, collaboration and promotion, amplifying the voice of the country’s tech industry and unlocking opportunities to develop a more prosperous, inclusive and digitally-capable Welsh economy.

Wales Tech Week is just one of its varied events and initiatives; others include Talent4Tech, the Wales Technology Awards and the Technology Leadership Council.

‘Avril Lewis MBE, Managing Director of Technology Connected, says: ‘Wales Tech Week is proud to welcome Vodafone Business as our Networking Partner for 2025. As part of the newly merged VodafoneThree, Vodafone Business is helping to deliver the infrastructure and innovation that Wales needs to thrive – enabling businesses, communities and public services to embrace the opportunities of a truly connected future.’

Vodafone Business is the enterprise division of the newly merged VodafoneThree. The company is now in the process of delivering an £11bn investment in the mobile network in the UK – the largest ever such investment in this country.

In Wales specifically, that investment will mean near-universal population coverage, improved rural connectivity and the infrastructure needed to power innovation across sectors, from advanced manufacturing and fintech to healthcare and green energy. This is expected to contribute £4bn in productivity benefits to Wales by 2035.

Nick Gliddon, Director of Business at VodafoneThree, adds: ‘Wales is at a pivotal moment for technology, and connectivity is the foundation for its future success. At Vodafone Business, we’re proud to partner with Wales Tech Week to highlight the role a world-class network will play in unlocking opportunity – from supporting SMEs and critical public services to enabling green innovation and digital inclusion. Our £11bn investment in the UK’s biggest and best 5G network will help ensure Wales has the infrastructure it needs to thrive, creating jobs, boosting productivity and connecting communities across the nation.’
