Results will be published in two stages, and are due to be released this September.
The comprehensive analysis of strengths, weaknesses, and comparative differentiators across IT strategy, consulting and management services is being conducted by Information Services Group (ISG). The US-based firm, which specialises in AI-centred technology research and advice, has distributed surveys to 140 companies with government technology contracts in the UK and Australia.
Two ISG Provider Lens reports will be published in autumn, broken down into five areas, including local government and digital transformation and innovation. This comes at a time when Downing Street is pressing on at pace with overhauling the public sector at all levels, and embracing widespread AI platforms in a bid to reduce pressure on human resources.
‘The public sector is a cornerstone of economic stability, encompassing government-owned and operated entities that provide essential services and goods to citizens and prioritize citizens’ well-being,’ said Iain Fisher, director, Future of Work, Customer Experience and ESG, ISG Provider Lens Research.
‘Public-private partnerships further illustrate the sector’s adaptability in leveraging private efficiencies for public benefit,’ he continued.
A list of providers and vendors featured can be found here. Enterprise level customers of companies included are invited to submit their own feedback on real world experience of procurement, delivery and support by completing an online form.
A copy of the final reports will be distributed to any organisation that has provided information on actual experiences, which will inform the overall assessment. No cut off date for this has been confirmed at the time of writing.
