Brent Council has partnered with Branduin Business Support to launch an e-commerce skills booster programme. The workshops, due to run in February and March 2024, are free for local start-ups, micro-businesses and SMEs.

Among the topics to be covered are proven strategies to optimise online listings, manage inventory, provide excellent customer service, make best use of AI tools, maximise multichannel sales and scale online business. The training includes specialist webinars and confidential one-to-one business advice with an expert advisor to help identify and tackle challenges specific to a particular online business.

Formed in 2010, Branduin Business Support works with local authorities, chambers of commerce, growth hubs and university entrepreneur hubs to identify the business advisory and support services needed to help achieve strategic objectives. Programmes are delivered by quality-assured business advisors and specialists who focus on meeting the needs of SMEs throughout all stages of their business journey – pre-start, start-up, trading, growth and exit.

Branduin Business Support also works in partnership with a number of London borough councils – including Ealing, Harrow, Hounslow, Lambeth, Richmond upon Thames, Sutton and Wandsworth – and West Sussex County Council. Other partners Metro Bank, NatWest and the University of Roehampton. Last month, the company won Best Business Support & Advice/Service Company at the West London Chambers of Commerce Business Awards.

The e-commerce skills booster programme is funded by Brent Council, the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, and supported by the Mayor of London. To apply for a place, visit Brent | eCommerce Skills Booster on Eventbrite.
