We welcome applications from developers who identify as front-end, back-end or full-stack, but would be particularly interested in hearing from developers with strong front-end Drupal development skills.

The Role

We are looking for a developer to join our team.

If you are successful in applying for this role, you’ll be working with several different software stacks. Some of the key technologies you’ll be working with are:

  • Local Gov Drupal
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Twig, PHP
  • Storybook
  • AWS & Azure
  • Git version control and Gitlab CI / CD

What You’ll Do

Across one or more products in development at discovery, alpha or beta stage, you will:
 

  • Build web and mobile web-based products and services to serve user needs
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
  • Build front-end components and contribute to design system maintenance and development
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Help maintain code quality, organization and automatization
  • Mentor junior members of the development team
  • Work across multiple product teams concurrently
  • Work with services to help them improve their technology systems, even when we haven’t built them
  • Use test-driven development or similar methods to ensure our services are of a high standard.

 Who You Are

We want to hear from people with skills in:

  • Building, supporting and continuously iterating software
  • Front-end Drupal development and experience of design systems
  • Working within multidisciplinary user-centred Agile teams
  • Using test driven development or similar
  • Pair-programming, mentoring of junior developers
