AI-focused ITCS will expand its operations following £350,000 grant from Economy Futures Fund
An IT services company based in Bridgend is due to expand as the result of funding from the Welsh government. The £350,000 investment from the Economy Futures Fund will help ITCS to safeguard existing jobs within the business and well as create a further 60 positions by 2028.
ITCS was founded in 2004. The company now specialises in using artificial intelligence (AI) to help organisations drive productivity thought the automation of routine tasks, as well as in enhancing decision-making processes and accelerating digital transformation.
The expansion will see the company move to a new premises at Waterton Industrial Estate. As well as high-tech office space and a cyber security operations centre, the new HQ will feature a state-of-the-art training facility. ITCS intends to work with local schools and colleges to encourage students to engage in IT and cyber security. It will also offer IT opportunities for adults looking to upskill.
Rebecca Evans MS, Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning, says: ‘Supporting jobs in the industries and services of the future is a priority for this Welsh Government and this project will deliver high quality employment in a part of Wales with a rapidly developing IT cluster. The investment in this new HQ will provide ITCS with the facilities it needs to prosper, as it pursues innovation, skills development and long-term growth.’
