Now the company has partnered with Laurel, the world’s first AI time recording platform for professional service firms. The platform is already used by hundreds of such firms around the world to automatically categorise, describe and analyse workflows, to provide insights on how professionals spend their time.

One key benefit is the ability to connect time data with business outcomes, which enables firms to maximise profits, allocate their resources effectively and more accurately capture billable time.

Laurel is actively growing its presence in the UK by hiring more customer support, experience and salespeople. It has also been investing in more regional events.

David Ricketts, Head of Business Development for Quiss, says: ‘This partnership demonstrates that an innovative, technology-focused business like Laurel recognises our hard-won reputation in the legal sector for digital transformation. In our role as the technology partner to an increasing number of mid-tier UK law firms, we are quick to highlight the easily demonstrated value that the Laurel AI Time platform can deliver, capturing on average an additional 28 billable minutes per day, per professional.

‘At a time when all businesses, but law firms in particular, are seeking ways to implement AI to help deliver better, quicker and more responsive outcomes for their clients, Laurel AI Time platform is an attention-grabber. I’ve seen firsthand how Laurel can transform a law firm’s approach to time intelligence. What used to be a manual process of timekeeping, entry, description and allocation, can now become significantly technology-enabled.

‘Every firm should have the conversation with Laurel to ensure it fits their unique needs, but I believe this is one of the most impactful AI investments a firm could make, delivering measurable results while laying the foundation for broader transformation initiatives.’

Kourosh Zamani, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Laurel, adds: ‘Quiss is an innovative business helping to shape the digital future of the UK legal sector and the ideal partner for Laurel. Many of the world’s top enterprise professional services firms are reporting profit increases between 4% and 11%, which is a staggering return on investment.

‘This early foray into the UK market is being made significantly easier by our partnership with Quiss, who recognise the transformative impact our platform will have on all those law firms looking to maximise profitability, whilst providing more transparent billing to their clients.

‘Laurel not only helps firms capture the time their people spend on work more comprehensively but also helps them understand much more about how their teams work and identify best practices to help ensure firms always drive the best outcomes for their clients.’
